''A 9-month-old Staten Island girl drowned in a running bathtub after her mother left her to chat with a pal in the next room, sources said yesterday.

The floating body of the tragic baby was discovered by her 7-year-old brother, officials said.

Mom Cheyenne Holmes, 26, allegedly put the baby, Kelis Gilmore, into the bathtub at their home on Pierce Street in Park Hill just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

A short time later, Holmes' son discovered the infant and alerted the mom, who began screaming, sources said.
"She was hollering, 'My baby! My baby!' " one neighbor said.''
